After graduating
from massage therapy school in 1994 Lisa has worked
in many different settings giving her an opportunity
to broaden her work experience and to massage all
types of bodies with a variety of issues. Some of the
places Lisa has done massage therapy are in
traditional settings like corporations and fitness
centers to healing places like hospitals and hospice.
Lisa has massaged in a facility for individuals with
disabilities where she did research using massage
techniques to calm and soothe adults with Autism. She
has also used massage therapy in conjunction with
spiritual direction. All of these massage
opportunities have broadened her horizons both
intellectually and through touch. The techniques Lisa
uses are swedish , deep tissue, structural and
trigger point therapy. Being a Shambava yoga teacher
allows her to introduce various yoga postures to help
the client with self care at home.
