Event Descriptions

Guru Gita
You may recognize the practice lovingly referred to as "the geet" in the book Eat Pray Love! Students in the Shambhava tradition do this practice each morning around sunrise. The Guru Gita is a 182 verse chant in the form of a conversation between Shiva and his consort Parvati. Parvati asks Shiva how one goes about becoming Enlightened, already an Enlightened being Parvati asks for the benefit of all beings. The verses that follow are Shiva's directions along the path of Enlightenment. The practice is beautiful and enriching. You are welcome to join in, simply listen or read along in the Sanskrit or the English transliteration. However you choose to participate all are welcome!
