your goal. The program provides each student with a path
for growth along the journey to becoming the best yoga
teacher they can be. At the end of the training each
participant will receive their 200 hour level Certification
and is eligible to register with the Yoga Alliance as an
RYT 200.
Will I get to
teach during the Training?

How do you obtain
your Advanced 500 Hour Certification?
For the Advanced, 500 Hour Certification you will need to
complete Level 2 Teacher Training and Level 3 Teacher
Training (in any order). There are an additional 180 hours
of elective credits as well, which can be earned in any
order (although some elective courses have prerequisites)

We are currently
offering the following elective courses: Prenatal Training
(30 hours), Kids Yoga (30 hours), Advanced Asana (60
hours), Yoga for Healing (60 hours), Ayurveda for Healing

Meditation Teacher Training Level 2 (30
hours).
May I take
elective courses without going for my Advanced
Certification?
Any Level 1, 200
Hour Certified teacher (from any program, not necessarily a
Shambhava program) may take the elective courses for
Continuing Education Credits (CEC). These credits can be
used to meet Yoga Alliance requirements.
How do I prepare for the training?
For Level 1, 200 Hour Certification we
recommend two years of physical practice. Remember you
needn’t be able to do every pose in yoga, simply have a
basic understanding of how to practice. Come with an open
heart, an open mind and a willingness to learn.
For Advanced, 500 Hour Certification we recommend any RYS
Level 1, 200 hour program including but not limited to our
own. It can be helpful to have also had some experience
teaching yoga.
How do I know if
I’m ready?
If you have a desire to take your practice
to a deeper level or to share the gift of yoga with others,
you are ready.
Are there residential accommodations?
Not at this time.
However we can recommend local accommodations when
requested.
