Sundays: 10 am to 330 pm

10 am to 11 am - Guided Community Meditation: Yoga is so much more than the physical, and ShambhavAnanda Yoga® Meditation techniques are often the most unexpected and cherished tools our trainees acquire. Without fail, at the end of each training, our trainees comment on the benefit they received through the regular practice of these tools throughout the training, even if they had never meditated before! Our empowered practices teach you to facilitate an experience of yoga for your future students, rich with a firm foundation in your own self-exploration.

11 am to 1115 am: Break

1115 am to 1230 pm - Special Subjects: We will explore, learn about and discuss ethical considerations, the history and culture of yoga, basic yoga philosophy through the Yoga Sutras, Ayurveda (philosophy of health in yoga) and issues related to teaching with depth and clarity.

1230 pm to 130 pm - Special Subjects Part 2: We will cover anatomy, teaching skills, class construction, theme development and more!

140 pm to 320 pm - Asana Workshop + Teaching Skills: We will break down the poses, learn biomechanics, benefits, contraindications, pranayama (breath work), props, modifications and physical adjustments for each pose. We truly believe yoga is for everyone. You will learn variations for each pose to accommodate varying body types, abilities and preferences. Each week, we will either learn new content or review and practice content from previous weeks. As training develops, we will integrate more comprehensive skills such as theme development and class construction.

320 to 330 pm - Culminating: For the final 10 minutes of class, we will review homework, address any questions from the day and end with a gratitude meditation practice.

Thursdays: 630 to 8 pm
