In Vedic Astrology, the Moon represents our feelings, reactions and the mind in general. It has to do with both our receptivity and our ability to create and effect the world. The Moon represents the Feminine Divine, Shakti, or the Goddess. There are 15 Lunar Days from the New Moon to the Full Moon and 15 Lunar Days from the Full Moon back to the New Moon. Each of these days has a goddess associated with it along with many specific qualities. In this class, we will dive into the nature and qualities of each of these goddesses and their lunar days. This can bring very personal and accurate descriptions of our minds, how we live our lives and our general nature. A lunar day shows our relationship between our Sun and our Moon in our birth chart in astrology.
BIO:
Lakshman has been doing Vedic Astrology since 1994 and has had a personal meditation practice for over 42 years. His main goal in teaching astrology and in doing readings is to help people see the energies at play in their lives so that they can more consciously live their lives on the worldly and practical level and grow as spiritual beings as well.
Lakshman very much wants to share the knowledge he has gained over the years and be of service to those who want to learn the art and science of Vedic Astrology. He has a very wide range of life experiences which aid in his ability to relate to people's lives and experiences.
Lately, he has been following a strong interest in learning about the Goddesses that represent each of the lunar days in the Hindu calendar. The particular lunar day that we were born on can show us a lot about our very basic emotional and mental responses to our lives and the ways in which we naturally want to live our lives. These feminine forms represent the divine Shakti in her many manifestations that can ultimately lead us to the realization of the divine Shiva, or our own Inner Selves.
