3 Consecutive Wednesdays: May 10th, 17th and 24th
8:30 am – 9:30 am, Online or In-Person
Join us for a 3-week series exploring Yoga Asana and guided Marma Chikitsa, aka Ayurvedic Acupressure. Each session, you will be guided through a Marma Chikitsa sequence, offering yourself self-touch, followed by Yoga Asana. You will connect to Marma points on the body, which are intersections of consciousness and the physical body. Think of the Marma sequence as the best warm-up you ever had before moving into Yoga Asana.
Marma Chikitsa is an Ayurveda practice that opens the joints and moves fascia, our connective tissue that governs the nervous system. It also clears the energetic channels of the body and invites you to experience your own intrinsic healing power.
Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences, the Science of the Self and the Science of Life, respectively. Both sciences invite you to engage with your physical being in a conscious manner in order to bring yourself back to your body and experience your natural state of being.
Optional Add-ons:
There is an option to use oil on the body during the sessions. You can bring your own 1-2 oz dropper bottle of oil or purchase some through the studio. It is not required to use the oil and instructions for when and how to use it will be offered.
Acupressure mats will be used during the sessions and available for purchase for at-home use. Inquire with Anjani directly to purchase.
